A New Year: Spring semester goals

I am not that type of person. There's a certain amount of eye rolling required when people use the "new year, new me" statements. However, I do think this time of year calls for a sort of reflection. That being said, each year I set myself goals, not necessarily year long goals but long term goals none the less. I see January as a time to look back on what I've accomplished and what I hope to do in the coming year.
This time last year I was running a design blog from my high school yearbook room. I was so uncertain about where I'd go to school or what I'd major in or if I'd move out and so much more. I've learned a lot about making big decisions recently, mainly that things always workout in the end (or at least they have so far). This past year was a huge one, I graduated high school, started college, got a promotion as a manager at LOFT, got a job at The Shorthorn, moved out, made ok grades in school, and got an editorship at The Shorthorn.

Looking toward 2015 I don't see as many events. I'm starting that long stretch of school, graduation feels so far off and there are still so many things that will happen before then. This is is where grit comes in, this is the long haul. But that doesn't mean a girl can't have some fun. Right now, I'm taking a We'll see approach towards this year. But it's time to refocus, time to make things happen.
