November Calendar & Update

Hello everyone! It's been a while hasn't it? October did not seem to fly by, rather crawl painfully across glass for the simple reason of college deadlines. Thank you everyone for patience while I organized myself last month and I'll do my best to stay fairly consistent this month.

Things at school have been dandy, we released the first issue of our school's newspaper and we're really proud of it. It was quite large at 28 pages and had lots of color. I did an opinion story about ID policy and made nearly half of the ads (Be sure to glance at the Competitive Camera one and the Regency Counseling because I'm quite proud of those). My other publications are chugging along quite nicely. On another note I've been promoted to an editor in Yearbook so I'm now and editor in every publication at Martin (and it's a handful).

November's calendar features my very own photography! My photo one class has been going really well, and I'm in love with processing film in the dark room. The image used on the calendar is for my most recent project where I'm suppose to capture line, shape, texture, and form with abstract photography. If you can't tell this is an old sewing machine desk I shot.

November also has some wonderful days within it (and I'm not talking about black friday) once again I will give my feable attempt at NaNoWriMo. Which has not gone well in years past, but I'm slightly hopeful for this year. NaNoWriMo is a writing compition of sorts to see if you can write a 50,000 word story in a month. My best year has been 17K.

I'm quite excited to see what November has in store, from a trip to Boston for a National Journalism Conference to working Black Friday for the very first time, I think it'll be a good one.
